Hiking into the Grand Canyon

So excited! Just got our back country permit to hike down into the Grand Canyon. We are doing the easiest camping trail option but we will still be going more than 3000 feet down into the canyon.  it will be a 4.9 mile hike down, and than back up the next day. 

So excited, this is something I have wanted to do forever.  … maybe someday when the kids are older we can do a ‘real’ backpacking trip and cover lots more area and do less busy spots.
